Connemara & Confined Classes

  • Judging commencing at 10 a.m. sharp.
  • Entry Fee €15 in all classes, except where stated.
    • Entries with Entry Fee to the Secretary before Thursday 25th August 2011.
    • No entries taken on field on showday.
    • Entry fees must accompany the Entry Form and failure to do this will incur a surcharge of €5 per exhibit/class on the day.
  • PRIZES: 1st €40, 2nd €30, 3rd €20, except where stated.
  • Foals must be led.

 RULES AND CONDITIONS 

1.               This championship is confined to Connemara. Two & Three Year - Old Filly–Mare of the Future.

2.               The progeny of Registered Connemara Sire & Registered Connemara Dam.

3.               Registered Filly must be in CPBS class 1.

4.               Exhibitors in both the Qualifier and the Final must have the CPBS Passport ready for inspection prior to entry to the judging ring. Failure to comply with the rule will lead to immediate disqualification.

5.               Two Ponies in each qualifying class may be selected to compete in the final provided the judges & the ISA agree the standard is high enough.

6.               One of the Judges at the final must be from CPBS judges list.

7.               Ponies qualified for Final are not eligible to enter any other class at the Ballinasloe Show

8.  These rules should be read in conjunction with the Irish Shows Association Rules.

CLASS 28  Entry Fee €15 Best 3, 4, or 5 yr. old Connemara Mare.

CLASS 29  Entry Fee €15 Best 6, 7, 8 or 9 yr. old Connemara Mare.

CLASS 30  Entry Fee €15 Best Connemara Mare 10 yrs or over.

CLASS 31  Entry Fee €15 Best Colt Connemara Foal

CLASS 32  Entry Fee €15 Best Filly Connemara Foal.

CLASS 33  Entry Fee €15 Best Gelding (any age).

CLASS 34  Entry Fee €15 Best Registered Connemara Stallion. (3 years &   upwards) (Trophy presented.)

CLASS 35  Entry Fee €15 Miniature Horse/Pony - any age any breed less than 38inches

CLASS 36  Entry Fee  €15 Best Coloured Pony Class

CLASS 37  Entry Fee €15  Best Coloured Pony Foal Class

CLASS 38(confined)  Entry Fee €15 Best Local Connemara foal (Filly/Colt).

CLASS 39(confined)  Entry Fee €15 Best Local Pony 138 cms. and under (led).

CLASS 40(confined)  Entry Fee €15 Best Local Pony 138 cms. to 148 cms (led).

CLASS 41(confined)  Entry Fee €15 Best Local Pony Brood Mare in Foal or with foal at foot.

CLASS 42  Entry Fee €15 Riding Class. Reg. Connemara Pony. Pony to be ridden, by riders who have not obtained their 14th Birthday
