Rules and Conditions

1.               Entries are confined to Yearling Fillies registered in the I.H.R. with the breedcode ISH or ID with the dam documented on the passport & must be sired by a stallion that is classified as ‘Approved, ‘Supplementary Approved’ or ‘Preliminary Approved’ in the Irish Sport Horse Studbook or a Stallion that is classified as ‘class 1’ / R.I.D’ in the Irish Draught Horse    Studbook. The class  is also open to the progeny of Weatherby's Thoroughbred Stallions that are not classified in the I.H.R”.

2.               One filly from selected shows may qualify for the final if the judges and the I.S.A. agree the standard is high enough.

3.               Exhibitors to both the qualifier and the final must have the filly's passport or I.D. Cert ready for inspection prior to entry to the judging ring. Failure to comply with this rule will lead to immediate disqualification.

4.               Fillies qualified for Final are not eligible to enter any other class at the Scariff Show.

5.               Those rules should be read in conjunction with the I.S.A  Rules.

Qualifying Shows :  Armagh; Athlone; Ballymoney; Bandon; Bansha; Barryroe; Belgooly; Bonniconlon; Bridgetown; Cappamore; Castleblaney; Castlegannon; Castlerea; Charleville; Ennis; Finn Valley; Galway; Gorey; Gort; Kilmacanogue; Moate; Mullingar; Roscommon; Saintfield.

Prizes: Champion €700 and Scariff Show Society Trophy (value €127) and Sash; 2nd €350; 3rd €250; 4th €125; 5th €100; 6th €75; 7th to the end  Horse Sport Ireland will pay a premium of  €50. All Qualifiers will receive Rosette. The breeder of winning filly will receive €125. A piece of crystal will be presented for the combination of best  turned out horse and most suitably dressed handler.
